| Biography |
Jason Wells began performing in Cincinnati, OH around the year 2000 as an acoustic singer/songwriter. As time passed he began to acquire some folks to back him up on a few songs during his live performances. Eventually he began writing certain songs with a band in mind and decided that he would go under the name "for algernon". Writing and Recording most of the albums himself, Wells' style is a mix of folk and lo-fi pop using the bedroom recording enviroment as a tool, not a set back. He has been asked to perform live improv sets providing film soundtracks at The Cincinnati Art Museum, co-scored several short films and invited to play at Midpoint Music Festival. He also can be found playing a variety of instruments with DataWasLost recording artist Tristen Shields and was a member of the CEA Band of the Year, SXSW Alumini, The Minni-Thins. His Current residence is in Cincinnati, Ohio and has just finished his sixth album "oh, my starling".
